He Tipu natives have gone into the ground at sites across the Taupō rohe
Some good news from the nursery - our plants are out in the whenua and doing what they were grown to do.
Over the past few months, He Tipu natives have gone into the ground at sites across the Taupō rohe:
Tauhara Maunga Track
Our plants were part of a community planting day on the new track, alongside Te Mana o Tauhara Trust and Kids Greening Taupo. Walking the maunga and seeing the previous two Matariki plantings flourishing (with a 95% survival rate) was a real moment of pride for our team.
Waka Kotahi (NZTA) Weigh Bridge Site
Our kaimahi are on this site regularly, planting and tending to natives along the state highway as part of an ongoing partnership with Waka Kotahi. Working alongside Camex and Nga Mahi Kaha shows what collaboration can achieve in our rohe.
