He Ahi Update - Sales and Earthworks Underway

Stage 1 of the He Ahi Eco-Business Park commenced construction in February 2025 and is scheduled for completion in December 2025. This first stage will deliver 13 large heavy industrial lots, which are unique within the Taupō market and represent a significant addition to the region’s industrial capacity.

The project is being delivered through a fully outsourced model, drawing on a range of expert consultants and contractors across engineering, surveying, planning, environmental, and ecological disciplines to ensure specialist input at every stage. A core principle guiding the development is kaitiakitanga o te taiao, or environmental protection, with a strong emphasis on responsible stormwater management, the protection of neighbouring repo (wetlands), and ensuring that any water leaving the park is clean and safe. Together, these priorities reflect a commitment not only to economic growth but also to sustainable development that safeguards the natural environment.
