We're excited to announce a Director position with Poipoia ōu Pūmanawatanga Limited, a kaupapa Māori-aligned education and rangatahi development programme.
We're seeking a registered teacher to lead relationship-building with our local colleges and drive real change in ākonga outcomes.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager of Te Pae o Waimihia Trust, you'll provide strategic leadership for our programme, with a primary focus on building and strengthening partnerships across Taupō and Tauhara College. You'll support ākonga through NCEA, foster whānau engagement, and work collaboratively with school partners to create pathways for rangatahi success.
Essential Requirements
Current NZ Registered Teacher status
Experience in secondary education (teaching, leadership, or governance)
Ideal Experience
Youth development and rangatahi engagement — especially with Māori students
Education funding and MoE relationships
Kaupapa Māori education frameworks
Whānau-centred practice
Role Details
Employment: Contractor
Time Commitment: Tuesday–Thursday, 3:30–6:30 pm (approximately 9–12 hours per week)
Remuneration: This is a paid role in a contractor position
